Hey folks!

For the first release of the new year I am pleased to share with you the Harbor Maps Collection. Because this is our first collection release since July of last year if you're unfamiliar: a "collection" series is a little different than my typical battle map releases. A collection set is 9x larger than my standard battle map (17x22 squares) and built primarily with existing assets around a specific theme or trope (see the list of linked previous releases below). The intent is that the resulting set can either be used as a singular, massive encounter-scale scene, pilfered for its 9 individual locations, or stitched along rows, columns, or any other combination of maps as you see fit.

As you can see from the preview images above I ended up infusing a bit more of a canal-theme into this "harbor" collection, but I thought it fitting in order to provide a slice of urban backdrop in the bottom half of the overall map too. In general I did my best to build an intriguing set of levels within the city structure and toe that careful line between immersive detail while still leaving room for adventurers to play in the space.

In addition to the standard version of the map(s), the collection also arrives in night palettes and lighting to allow players to explore at any time of day as well as unfurnished variants so that the mapmaking among you can take the base structure and totally customize it to your personal needs. And of course everything arrives with or without a grid and in options for further file compression for easier handling in VTT.

Because the combined file size of everything would be nearing 1GB (and thus laughably beyond Patreon's upload limit) I've organized all of the available downloads into separated ZIPs. Enjoy!

While I understand this is more due to the Patreon's uploads constraints I actually prefer having the maps broken up into categories. I never really have a use for the gridded maps since I use these exclusively for VTT which uses the programs internal grid system. I don't know if there's any bandwidth advantage for you or Patreon having smaller category files, but I sure would enjoy it.

This is one my favorite things you've ever released on Patreon. I love large maps like this, gives you so many more tactical options. It's a challenge to piece together lots of smaller maps narratively, and I just think this is great.

I love this harbor map so much, it's perfect for my semi-homebrew city. The canals especially are really pretty and a cool idea. I do wish it linked up more neatly with the Urban map - they're close enough in style that they should be able to expand nicely into a bigger city, but they don't quite connect.

Totally agree! It's my goal in future collections (where applicable) to try and create edges where possible so that you in theory could achieve "super" collections.
