Hello all!

Coming out swinging with our first release of November: a high-level adventure dungeon made in collaboration with our friends at DMDave. Pazuzu's Lair is a dramatic, flight-based encounter scene great for high-level parties for all of the many obstacles it puts in their way.

A scourge of abyssal foes assail adventurers as they make their way to Pazuzu atop his central aerie. Read on in the adventure PDF linked below for the full details and a myriad of tables for quest hooks, random encounters, madness types, possible treasure, and a means of scaling the location for levels 11-20. And to top it all off? A killer track from the esteemed McRoMusic to make sure the climactic battle has the appropriate backdrop.

About the Maps

Due to the unusual and vertically-aligned nature of the environment, there are a few different maps accompanying this location:

  • Pazuzu's Aerie (default): The 40x40 top-down battle map displaying each of the 5 aeries and the endless abyss beneath it all.
  • Pillar Interior: A top-down battle map layout illustrating the various floors and roosts of the central aerie interior. Exploration within the central aerie can be played out on this map or instead visualized through the transparent PNG files of each floor overlaid on the main battle map.
  • Pillar Exterior: A side-view exterior illustration of the aerie to act as a handout and ensure 100% clarity of spatial understanding for both the DM and the players.
  • Skyborn Variants: With the intent of pushing the versatility of the location I've provided a "skyborn" variant of the aerie set where the same scene takes place in a somewhat more typical environment amongst the clouds in the material plane.

Enjoy!

I LOVE Planescape content... we could use more Abyssal layers, Gehenna, Acheron, etc...
