Hey folks!

Today I've got a bit of a surprise release here, a follow up to our previously released City Assets Part 1 and City Assets Part 2. Similar to our existing Town Assets this series is different than the majority of existing asset content in that it is not encounter-scale. Rather as the name suggests, they're entirely for building your own city maps! I was inspired to return to a new expansion for this set since Part 2's release almost two years ago after I was tinkering on some city maps for my own personal use and noticed some gaps that became obvious after trying for some more water-based settlements.

This new Part 3 has added the following new sets:

  • Harbors - A set of 30 Dock pieces and 9 ships to create a harbor district
  • Bodies of Water - 8 new water pieces ranging from lake-sized to coastal
  • New Misc Buildings - ranging from farmland, dock buildings, and fighting pits!
  • Neighborhoods - an attempt to make city-assembly even easier, these "neighborhoods" are essentially mega-clusters of buildings prearranged to save you time on areas where you're less concerned about specific building placement
  • Cartography - 9 new decorative frames to be used to beautify the edges of a finished map (doesn't have to just be a city one either!)

In addition to all of the new types of content above, we are also expanding the existing pool of options from the previous packs with 330 new buildings clusters, 19 new buildings of interest, 156 normal buildings, and 81 trees. If you're using Photoshop (or the popular free photoshop-alternative, GIMP) I have made a small set of videos on my humble youtube channel that will help you get the full value of the series (including the use of the 'dirt road brush' included in Part 1).

But if you're not using Photoshop, I'm super pleased to inform you that Dungeondraft packs of all three city asset packs are ready! Those of you familiar with Dungeondraft will appreciate the convenience of this addition including built-in sizing and rotation functions, not to mention some very easy-to-use road and terrain options. All three Dungeondraft packs are available to download below and have also been added to our Dungeondraft Master Post. You will also notice an improved tagging function where all three packs share the same tags for things like trees, normal buildings, building clusters, etc. in a way that will hopefully make it easier to sift through the avalanche of assets than it would be otherwise.

Enjoy!
