Wooster (Patreon)

Hello folks!

Today I bring to you another addition to my setting of the Great Expanse: the town of Wooster. As you can see from the image this map is a bit of a departure from previous maps that I've made a variety of ways: the perspective at which it is presented, the coloring and rendering styles (I got to cross-hatch!), and even the slightly-over-the-top cutesy label banners I drew. 

I hope you all will forgive the variance in direction for a location map like this if I compensate you with (what I feel) is a beautiful illustration. It was seriously a lot of fun to make and while I obviously love making maps, was a nice break from the standard top-down viewpoint. And to top it all off I roped in a couple of friends to help build out Wooster even further!

Wooster comes with a fun 2-page PDF (as previewed above) that I got to bring a guest writer on to work with in the form of Adventure Awaits! I've seen the work of and even helped Ben on a couple of projects over the last year, but this is the first time I've managed to get him aboard something of my own and I'm so glad I did. I hope you'll enjoy the brevity of his writing and the fun-elements that he so generously injected into Wooster's lore.

And to round it all out I couldn't release something for the Great Expanse without having Will of Music D20 create a piece for it! The Lawless Wooster track below creates an excellent musical tone for Wooster and truly starts to make a genuine soundtrack of Will's in combination with his previous musical contributions. 

In summary, please let me know what you think of the location overall and particularly how you feel about the map! If it's well-received I could certainly see myself doing other (location, not battle) maps like this occasionally in the next year.
