Hello all,

I hope all of you (wherever you may be located) are doing okay in these strange times. Like many of you I'm working from home for the foreseeable future, which is both odd for me as well as potentially opening up some more time for projects that I've had difficulties fitting into the normal routine.

In light of everything that's been happening we've been seeing a surge in online play, something that I hope to be able to better prepare content for in the near future (stay tuned). In the meantime, let me share with you the Aquaduct of Old. Many of you may have seen the announcement for WotC's next module and if you're like me, you're pretty excited about the Greco-Roman themes this will open up.

The Aquaduct of Old is one of the in-progress battle maps I've had in my queue for a bit that I decided to bring up to the front in light of this announcement. I hope you'll find it helpful for most settings, but especially for this upcoming one; I appreciate the way it 'sets the stage' for a water-based encounter or just as a meeting point with a rival-NPC. In the map pack you'll find the standard gridless, VTT, and print variations alongside a nighttime palette.

Lastly, I personally like to be able to put 'scene-setting' artwork and imagery in front of players in addition to maps + minis. This is by no means any kind of official partnership, but I was originally inspired for this map by an environmental artwork by German illustrator Julian Bauer, which I've attached to this post in case you'd like to use it at your own table. You should definitely go see more of Julian's excellent work at his portfolio on ArtStation.

Enjoy!

Would you ever consider doing a “paint over” of maps from the Avernus campaign?

I wouldn't necessarily say never, but it's not on my list of upcoming priorities. WotC has put some pretty significant burdens on trying to recreate the B&W maps from recent modules for use on DMsGuild so it's often difficult for me to justify it. If there were a lot of patron demand maybe?
