Hello people!

Here it is: my first 'extra-large' battle map made for Storm King's Thunder--the dramatic site for the clash with Iymrith. This map is 'extra-large' because it is 4x larger than the normal battle map size I release. Typically the battle maps I create are at an A4, 8.5x11 paper size, this is set to 22x17 and is intended to be printed out at twice that size (like the other battle maps) for a final tabletop dimension of 44x34inches.

A couple of things to note: the siege weapon tokens that come with this map are still on the way. I left the inherent version blank so that it would be easily usable for anyone that didn't want to include the siege weapons or at least have them immediately visable. The tokens will work like any other asset I've released so far where it will be easily dropable into this (or any other) battle map.

Because of the increased size, detail, and scope of the 'extra-large' format, I will likely not be creating another one like it for at least a few months. It took a hugely disproportional amount of effort from the 'two paid posts' it took up in the release queue, though the awesomeness of it almost makes up for that. It's possible that maybe I'll consider putting up 'extra-large' maps as rewards for hitting future goals, but for the time being we shouldn't come to expect it as a normal release staple.

Hope you enjoy! Be sure to check out the 'desert ruins' post with the extra freebie battle map that I made assembling parts of this one.

I absolutely love it! I extra appreciate that it'll be scales up to actually feel as big as it should be. This battle is a long way off on my campaign but having this available will be a God send.

I'm running this battle in one of my next 2 sessions. Much appreciated! So much better than the map from book.

This is spectacular!!!

Really love this and will use it for my campaign. Quick question though. Wouldn't there be a third and fourth hallway entrance where the seating area is carved out on the right side?

Thanks Vinh! And to clarify your confusion: those entrances on the left and right side actually lead to downwards staircases that lead to a series of underground chambers. These chambers are further detailed (along with a map!) in Iymrith’s section in the Storm King’s Thunder module.

How do you typically go about printing something of this size? Do you split it up in photoshop?
