Planar Assets 1 (Patreon)

Hello all!

Back in the Spring you all indicated via our Annual Patron Survey a significant interest in expanding the available assets pertaining to otherworldly or strange areas. Thus, Planar Assets. This is a new series I'll be continuing to add to that is intended to cover asset types that would be indicative of different "planes" (i.e. "worlds") of a campaign.

Almost four years ago I released a pack of "Feywild Assets" that many of you may be accustomed to using--because of the preexistence of that set, it felt like a natural starting point to reboot the idea (not to mention it dovetails nicely with last month's "Woodland Assets 4" pack). Like many future versions of this series, the Feywild plane butts up against other adjacent themes already in the library like the Academy Assets and Woodland Assets. As a result, I tried to narrow the focus of this set to be exclusive to the Fey theme.

Lastly, it's worth noting that this set also includes the new Grass Texture 7. This terrain is the first time I've drawn a full-page's worth of grass texture in several years. As you might imagine, it's very tedious and incredibly boring, but I knew the library needed an update in that regard for a long time and I think this newest version will see a lot of use. It comes in a seamless variety as well as a couple dozen "patches" for you all to layer into/on top of other terrain in a more organic way.

Planar Assets 1 contains:

• A variety of furniture within the fey/woodland theme like beds, chairs, tables, and shelves

• A couple dozen new flowers, fungi, and exotic looking plants sure to make your feyscape pop out differently than your typical forested area

• 6 different styles of "Fey Portals", each coming in two sizes and designed in a way that I felt like evoked the grandiose, yet whimsical nature of many Feywild adventures

• Atmostpheric elements like sprite clusters and butterflies, as well as a variety of small "fey homes" to indicate the presence of smaller denizens in the forest

• The all new grass texture 7, arriving in two color varieties, a seamless option, and a couple dozen grass patches to use as needed

• Lastly, my standard "example map" of an open-air fey dwelling in the middle of a canopied forest, also arriving in typical VTT, grid/no-grid, and unfurnished variants.

Dungeondraft

The Dungeondraft-ready conversion of Planar Assets 1 contains everything therein as an object within the mapmaking program along with a majority of said objects featuring a colorable counterpart. It also contains the new "Grass Texture 7" as a terrain option.
