November Updates! (Patreon)

Dear Friends. <insert long-winded exclamation at the fact that 2022 is almost over>. 

Things have been all over the place as usual, but in general, I wanna say that things are on an upward trend. And that's the important thing I try to remind myself of: the day-to-day might feel drastically different, but taking a step back and seeing the overall trend can show a much different pattern than what we feel in the moment. So if things are tough going for you, I hope that you might be able to take a step back and recognize just how far you've come to get to this point.

For some reason, I get the sense that I haven't gotten all that much done in October as I had planned/wanted. But looking back, I can see how much of a distorted view that is because I actually did get a hell of a lot done, including the 9-hour charity stream on Thanksgiving in which we fundraised £1320 (WAY over the initial £500 goal!) for the British Red Cross's Operation Anti-Loneliness campaign! I can't even begin to capture how grateful and thankful I am to all the people who made these possible, but here is a very small snapshot of the cornucopia of friends that we started during the charity stream -- there are so many more that I have yet to add here!

Just this past weekend, I was once again honoured to be a part of Dinosaur Streamfest (recording up here!). It was a whole day of all sorts of fantastic streamers for 18 straight hours, and I was blown away by just how awesome everybody was, including many first-time streamers. I can't recommend highly enough that you check out the whole lineup here!

But of course, one of the biggest and most mind-boggling things that happened is the fact that just this week, this happened:

So... New laptop inbound, because people are TOO FREAKIN' NICE TO ME. WHY?!?!?! 😱 I'm still working out the specs, but within a few weeks, hopefully the stream will be running a LOT smoother, I'll be able to do some more Photoshop-y stuff (maybe even on stream), and even start on some of the video tutorial content I have been planning. I'm still reeling from everything and how supportive you've all been though so please forgive me if my brain is not yet fully pieced together.
