The main news is of course the new tablet arrival. I hoped to receive it at the beginning on May, but my expectations failed. The old good Wacom Bamboo felt really bad. Its pressure sensitivity has gone absolutely mad, so drawing was getting harder and harder and each page took about 30 hours instead of usual 6-10 to draw. Of course I felt really irritated during such process.

When I finally ordered the new tablet our delivery decided not to hurry. That's why I had to wait a week more until they delivered it to me from the shop in our city. And they did that at 10 p.m.

However I was very happy to get my new Wacom Intuos Pro M. This is the tablet I really dreamed of. Some of you might have already seen this photo in my Twitter

I wish I knew my troubles only started then. Because of the late delivery I couldn't launch the tablet the same day. The next morning I plugged it in and... nothing happened. I prefer Debian OS, but this leads to "no official drivers" problem. Luckily there is unofficial Wacom support. I've installed the drivers and tablet seemed to work fine, but I still couldn't use its buttons. I've installed some additional drivers, then switched to Windows for a while. When I switched back to Linux. weird stuff happened. Linux launched just fine, but when I plugged in the tabled, the system suddenly looped at login window.

Making long story short I had to update the kernel and reinstall some libraries. This made me loose few more days. Finally the tablet launched. At the moment its pressure sensitivity works perfect, but I still don't have access to its buttons and it seems I've broken some libraries. I will have to repair the system in the future, but I don't want to bother about it at least for this month. I just want to draw T.T

When the tablet launched I decided to make a small stream on my Picarto and drew this wallpaper. At first it was extremely hard for me. Intuos is much bigger than Bamboo, so it took a while for my hand to get used to it. Then the stream crashed for unknown reason. After reboot I launched it again and realized Krita crashed too, because I've lost some brushes and binds. This is where I started to suspect I've broken something in my system.

However the stream went successfully and now I'm thinking about possible streaming schedule.

After that I started to work harder with the tablet. The previous page was drawn on it. And so was this piece

Despite I can't use its buttons and mouse cursor acts a bit weird, the tablet itself is just perfect. I love its pressure sensitivity (8192 levels vs 1024 on the old Bamboo). I love its pen which doesn't damage my hand as the old one did. I also don't have to use program stabilizer because the strokes became very stable themselves (I had a dribbling stroke effect because Bamboo was smaller and less sensitive). I've also noticed my shading became softer on Intuos, which I absolutely love.

I still work a bit slow because I haven't got used to Intuos, but I'm absolutely happy with it. So I'm going to work hard with it, restore the Patreon schedule and I really, really hope nothing will interfere this time

And now just some drawings by me and YumiCH
