Sneak peek #123 (Patreon)

It's been a while, huh?

Before the actual date of the previous sneak peek quarantine was announced in our city. I live on the opposite sides of the city with my parents and grandparents, who always need help. As a result I moved in with my grandparents for about a month so I could take care of them. I'm happy I could help and happy my family is safe, but honestly those were disastrous working days considering all the noise. 

There also were only mobile interned, which doesn't seem to like half of the platform I use, including Patreon. But nothing is that important when it comes to family.

Finally I'm back home and even brought some good news. 

First of all, we hit 200 000 views on Webtoons in March. This means "The Fate!" will move up to their Silver League and get stronger financial support. Which means I will have at least one month without commissions and other extra work. So I'm going to dedicate it to "The Fate!" completely.

Something strange is happening on Webtoons though. They've announced all the authors will get 100% ad revenue in April. And right after that many authors noticed we have significant drop in stats which looks suspiciously like Webtoons cut them on purpose. I'm not sure what's happening, but trying to do everything to keep "The Fate!" in the Silver League. And that forced me to increase number of updates which isn't really good and may lead to loss of all the Patreon buffer. But the choice was between to "work hard on the comics now" or to "work hard on many commissions in the future". I've decided to choose the comics and really hope it will work out, because now we have 50/50 chance. This race for page views will continue till the end of April or till we hit 200 000 page views

As I've mentioned above, there's going to be a month without commissions. Honestly I'm not sure whether I should close them at all or change prices, or leave them open for patrons only as some kind of Patreon bonus. But the main thing is that I've finished the big queue I had and can start working on the comics right now

While I was in mess with my grandparents, YumiCH saved my ass I took most part of the updates except for the comics itself. Honestly, I don't know what would I do without her

Comics and Patreon updates still suffered though. And now, having this month ahead I really hope I will be able to draw what I missed. And I'm really looking forward to it, because I really enjoy when I can work on comics page by page without interruptions

I'm also thinking again about Discord server and coming back to streaming. Originally I was going to do that in May, but the situation didn't allow me to do that.

This commission was on of the hardest I ever did. It actually took me months and broke my classic commission schedule, but I'm very happy with its results. Ironically while drawing the protogen girl I remember that the last time I damaged my wrist hard was on the previous commission with her, because her fur is very detailed. I was glad that I've trained much since then and don't have such troubles any more. And then my wrist suddenly ached so I took one day break. It's absolutely fine at the moment though.

Two boys for my patron JakeFleys. Really enjoyed working on them. Those were the 15th and 16th reference sheets I made for him, up to doing more :D
