I really enjoyed creating this! so much so I did two versions.  I'll definitely have to do more Sonja.

Red Sonja is looking a little beefier and curvier than I recall from the movie, but you won't hear any complaints from me. Wonder how these two red heads managed to get together? Both versions have their "strong" points and give different impressions. The first seems to emphasize Sonja's strength, while the second focuses more in on her enhanced and curvaceous physical attributes. No right or wrong version here! Glad to hear that you enjoyed working on these for your commissioner. It makes a huge difference when an artist feels motivated by creativity and puts that energy into such work.

I believe there was at least one comic, probably a Marvel Team-Up, where the spirit of Red Sonja, which lived in her sword which by then was on display in a museum, “possessed “ MJ and caused her to temporarily become Sonja to assist Spidey. Yeah, it was pretty convoluted even for Team-Up’s blatantly cross-promotional purpose and hasn’t aged well either. MJ didn’t transform willingly from what I recall and had no memory of the event afterwards. Spidey was none the wiser either. Manic’s update is much better.
