Change of Plan! (Patreon)

 Hi Everyone—

I've been reading your comments about the stuff I've been working on this week. On reflection, I've decided it would be silly to start a new comic venture with so many incomplete projects outstanding. A few of you have asked me about 'Fight', and I realised that I had totally forgotten about it! I was actually pretty far along with about seven pages inked and ready for colourising. Obviously it would be nuts to start a whole new comic from scratch when I've got a good chunk of stuff ready to be completed. So, whilst I'm still very keen to return to the world of the Wilds, I'm gonna put that one on the back burner for now and concentrate on 'Fight' instead.

The cover and the first page are included here. I will also go back to 'Red Alert', which has also been left fallow for too long! There are some new pages ready for colouring with that project as well. If I'm not burning myself out completely, I will also try and do more 'Time Chasers'.

It's bittersweet for me to return to 'Fight'. I was working on it in late 2017 when I found that a) I was being evicted from my home and b) I was going to become a father. I was at the beginning of a tumultuous but wonderful phase in my life, and I'm picking up this story having come out of the other end of that storm with a totally different life. I'm not sure why exactly I abandoned it. It's probably because I panicked and took on a whole bunch of commissions at the time to try and make some extra money. I think also when I started the Patreon, I wanted to have a bit of a clean slate, try new things and not get too bogged down with bloated comic projects (which, as you can see, has worked out really well for me).
