This image is the first Wild-Man drawing I ever made. At the time, I wanted to do a kind of pulp magazine cover of a Tarzan-type character rescuing a leggy girl from monsters. I liked the image so much, I decided to make a comic out of it, and that comic branched out into 'The Wilds' and also this. Not sure why I chose Amber over any other character-- I guess I just felt like drawing her at the time.

The clear deliniation of muscle tone in Amber's legs is there because she was originally going to be a jungle girl in the mold of Sheena or, um, Frank Cho's 'Jungle Girl'. I kept it in for her because I liked the drawing, even though those legs are a bit more cut than Amber's naturally would be. I suppose you could say that as a result of her trying to make the transformation into Urtha, Amber has managed to trigger a little temporary muscle-growth.

This scene does have a very Tarzan-esque vibe to it.You have to give those vines credit too for being able to hold both WM and Amber:D
