I've created a small low-poly level mainly for testing VR (it REALLY helps with performance in VR). I'll also be creating a more detailed level specifically for FPS, but the detail and lighting on that take forever. I plan to release a build of FPS and VR both within the week, hopefully in the next day or two. SOOOO much has been rebuilt better and things are really coming together the way I hoped so far. There's still a trillion challenges to overcome, but I think I've got NPC creation largely figured out - I have literally 13 notebook pages full of notes, directions, sequences, fixes, and other minutia JUST for creating a working foundation non-player character. I'll include notes and changes to controls and stuff along with the releases.

Cool things: 

1.) Greatly improved the bleeding mechanic and it works for all projectiles and stabby-stabs now.

2.) Fixed a number of issues with the animation state controller that were causing major headaches and glitches I had real trouble figuring out.

3.) Figured out the active ragdoll setup and integration with other systems including death animations that become ragdoll.

4.) Created a number of unique blood pools that will spawn on character death

5.) Tweaked blood splatter materials

6.) Drastically improved performance of the bleeding system

7.) Added sweet new stuff to the clothing and skin shaders (Subsurface scattering and Anisotropic reflectivity)

8.) Setup factions along with alliances, enemies, and neutralities and tested working

9.) Added grab-points to NPCs usable in VR (feet, shins, hands, forearms, shoulders, head, breasts)

10.) Fixed and improved stabby-stabs including the addition of a combat knife to VR

11.) Added a silenced pistol to FPS version along with fixes to other weapons. Due to a massive update to the underlying FPS system I'm using, I've had to rebuild and rework how this functions. There are some glitches that still need to be worked out, but the pistol, submachine gun, and sniper rifle work like champs. 

12.) A hundred other fixes both minor and major.

13.) I *think* I've figured out how to get the Steam Index working alongside the Oculus without much fuss, but will be sending out a test to someone who actually has one :P

Excited to see this build! Nice to read up on the dev progress and see the new features and improvements. Looking forward to trying the silencer and knives / swords. :-) As you know my personal favorite is the pistol with suppressor on, hehe... I guess all those spy flicks inspired us. :D
