First reaction since coming back wooooo!

There actually is a very quick scene at the end of the credits which I didn’t know about until seeing a difference reaction a few years ago.

It’s amazing how well this movie still stands up! It’s chock-full of references to things that were part of pop culture at the time. Of course, most young people aren’t going to catch any of them, but the movie is still hilarious. One of the best jokes is who the actors are. Many of them were veteran actors known only for playing very dramatic roles. They’d never been in a comedy. And that includes Leslie Nielsen (the doctor). After this movie he went on to do all the Naked Gun movies, Police Squad, etc. The director told all of them to play it just like it was a drama. It worked out perfectly! You caught the Jaws reference at the beginning. If you want to catch some others, you should check out Saturday Night Fever, From Here to Eternity, Spartacus, Midnight Express, The Godfather, and Shane. Also, the old tv show Leave It to Beaver. Enjoy.
