Honestly Sam, you've done Tom Hanks you've done Robin Williams. You could do a lot worse than doing a run of Stephen King's film adaptations, STAND BY ME, SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION and GREEN MILE come pretty close to mandatory viewing. DOLORES CLAIRBORNE brings back Kathy Bates in a role every bit as well crafted and performed as Annie Wilkes. CARRIE scared the hell out of me. THE MIST completes the Stephen King / Frank Darabont trilogy with one of the most gut punching plot twists I'm glad I couldn't have conceived. E.T.A. - Sorry, just noticed that you've already seen (and appreciated) GREEN MILE.

Misery is definitely the scariest Stephen King book I've ever read (and my favorite of his). Just by nature of the plot I thought there was no way they could make a good movie out of it, but they proved me wrong and I love it! The book is still my favorite, but holy crap Kathy Bates is amazing.
