Happy Friday, gang! Here's an early look at Monday's Ninecrow installment for your perusal. 

As an extra special patron bonus...I won't make you google where the title's from!

I've been reading a lot of Ambrose Bierce lately, and I snitched that phrase from one of his short stories called "The Moonlit Road." I highly recommend skimming the comments on that site so you can enjoy high school students advising Ambrose Bierce to just "write normally," and "stop stretching to maintain a 19th century prose," and kindly wishing him good luck with his future stories.

Fun fact: Bierce disappeared in 1913! Thus, he probably will not be writing any more stories for today's youth to critique. We can only dream of the normal writing he might have mastered if he'd just had a little more time...
