A lot of the non-tailhole fluid has been baked! It's been taking awhile because that's just the nature of fluid sims... but it's been coming along nicely. I've been baking this hands-free bit:
I had to first finalize at least the butt softbodies since the fluid sticking a bit to the butt depends on the force field (and in order for this to actually work, it needs to have the soft bodies since the butt does all that wobbling and such)
It's just a matter of baking more fluids. Still need to do soft bodies for the smaller dino guy and the rest of the bronto but that won't be too troublesome. I did tackle the soft body problem from a different angle this time- I just wasn't getting the kind of motion I wanted, so extruded the vertices, scaled them down so that they were all at the same location, then merged the vertices. (this one vertex is connected to every vertex in the mesh)
I tweaked the settings and finally got some more proper wobbling cheeks.
More soon, I've attached a video of the soft bodies and the fluid bakes so far. I *might* rethink the fluids for the bronto's hole though, use them more sparingly so I can reduce the bake time (like have distinct sections so that the fluids can be simulated in a smaller domain)
