Still getting a feel for this- I think it's coming together, like I'm starting to see the potential. I think I've talked about it before, but pretty much every time I start an animation I'm just really uneasy about whether something will turn out good or not (and I felt that *heavily* with this one) and like... how am I going to do it?

My biggest concern for this bit is the tail going into the smaller dino guy's butt- I *think* I can get away with giving the spline IK control bones a child-of constraint to follow the little guy's hole, but I haven't tested that yet.

Also, someone asked me about some of the stuff going on with the little guy going into the butt, it's my usual trick of duplicating the mesh, removing unwanted parts and using a remesh modifier on the shrink wrap target of the bones!

The blocky pink mesh is what the hole bones would shrink wrap to.

Also, while talking about technical stuff, sometimes if you have weird bone relationships, this happens sometimes.

Where the meshes don't update correctly for a bit- this makes scrubbing through the timeline not as nice as it should be, but thankfully it's not bad if you can animate with a decent FPS. It's all fine though because my game plan is to animate this to a point where it looks good, then bake the animation and remove the parenting stuff of the bones to do the final polishing stuff for this.
