I felt like she was missing something, and I thought about maybe some fun, iridescent scales!

This turned out fairly well- it's procedural as well. I used two noise textures and a vertex color map (and a gradient for the shiny part)! No image textures, but that's not very impressive as it's a rather simple looking effect :p

Since last time, I've also done some stuff to make the environment respond to the characters. The pillow has a rig to deform based on the kobold!

The bed can also respond to character meshes:

I've included this very simple test with not a lot of animation in it- this is something for the potential VA of the kobold. I haven't heard back from the first person I contacted yet, so I reached out to another NSFW female VA on Fiverr. I'm hoping I can get a test read of this!

Finally, I was thinking about putting pictures on the wall, and what they could be... then I was like "well, why not some backgrounds from the failed games I've tried doing?"

The car pic is this:

What a ride indeed!

Honestly the scene looks really nice and cosy, you have such a talent for making every character you make lovable in their own way. Also, you can sketch and draw well too, you're mighty talented!

It's from this game, which is the reason I started following Velocirection in the first place: https://velocirection.itch.io/but-i-dont-like-guys

Thank you! And yes as Anthony Caruso has said, it's from the last game I was working on... back when I was doing that, but it didn't really pan out.

I do apologize for leaving it as it is... I would like to come back to it, but I don't think my games were that interesting or just lacked a "wow" factor. If I returned to it, I'd focus more heavily on having an impressive presentation. Or just tell the story but with animation.

Thank you- but I'm not very good at drawing! For most of the backgrounds I did, I'd use a very basic 3d guide and paint over that. The car, for example, is a model I did when I owned a 1990 Chevy Lumina, so I decided to model it. Then later on, I was like "... hmm, that's the car I should use for the game!" and I just rendered it with a simple material and painted over it.
