I tried to make a procedural material that had a variety of skin texture to it and something that breaks up the specular part of the material in an appealing way. This is a bit of complicated material setup that would be kind of boring to explain (unless you all want that!)

But the idea is using some vertex colors to determine what type of skin is where:

Black is small scale size, red is more similar to basic, human-y pore type skin, yellow is larger scales. Green would be horns/nails (but I use a separate material all together for that so it doesn't mean anything really) and blue is specifically for the hole wrinks:

A bit more subtle than I'd like- but I would kind of like for it to use displacement on the geometry as well, to give some *real* wrinkles! But this shows off the skin texture variety. I'd like for the buttocks to be softer, smoother texture since it's a big squishy butt~

Finally, here's a silly pic where he spots you :p

If you check out the attachments, you can find a lip-sync test. The sound should hopefully work for everyone! I spent a bit more time than I should have on it probably, but it's not for nothing- I think the controls are okay enough to start animating (except for the forearms, I need to do a proper forearm twist setup so the wrist doesn't collapse on itself! You can't see it in the animation because I animated around that problem hehe)
