I decided to not do anything important today and worked on polishing this part of the animation.
Lately, I've been burned out on work and school. At first, I thought there was something really bad going on, like being physically ill. I've been getting really hot all of the sudden, heart racing, sweating, head aches, weak legs, dizziness, and when I started to figure it out it all pointed towards stress/anxiety.
I quit my job. I worked at Wal-Mart for like 11 years and I've been wanting to quit for a long time (*especially* when the pandemic started), but the last couple years I was getting my education through their education benefits so I couldn't really quit unless I wanted to pay out of pocket for whatever I had left on my degree.
However, this semester is my last one and I'll be graduating from SNHU with my bachelors in computer science.
I'm not sure how long I'll be out of work. It depends on how quickly I could find a job obviously. But the idea of starting a career at 29 is absolutely daunting. When everyone getting into a CS job is a decade younger than me and willing to work 100 hours a week to prove their worthy of some entry level position, and I'm older and hate my life and have been working a zillion hours a week between work and school the last two years... I'll probably take a bit of time to myself to relax and idk try and get this patreon thing off the ground.
Attached is a more polished version of the watermelon insertion bit.
Thank you to everyone. You all have been so patient with me and I appreciate it. I'm sorry that I've had to neglect this patreon for so long, and starting things and losing motivation to finish them. It's very difficult for me because I have a spark of passion and inspiration when I have some time off from work/school, and I work feverishly to try and get *something* out but it's always far beyond what I can do... then school starts again and it's 4 months of agonizingly slow progress. And I start to feel like there's no point to it all.
But since that's changing, I'd like to actually start and finish things on a consistent basis. I think once I can get some more finished stuff out there, I can get grow this patreon. Not necessarily as a replacement for a job (unless I can make like, programmer salary from this which is highly unlikely), but just as a nice kind of side thing.
