Hey hi folks! Back from Toronto, where I gave a talk at the Damage Camp conference about what lessons I've learned in game design from speedrunning! It was a wonderful event and I'm so glad I got to share some knowledge with the community there. Toronto's quickly becoming my home away from home and I want to keep finding opportunities to visit. ^^

I'm also hard at work on my next book, Cat Wishes! I'm going to be trying new things when it comes to the illustrations, and I'm also wondering what I'm going to do with the cover. It fit Squid Maids to have multiple color paper options, but I'm not sure I want to keep this up with later books. I'll see what I can do! My goal is to finish this book by the end of the month; it's going to be a challenge, but I want to give it a shot!

I'm also currently handling community outreach for GAMERella, a game jam and workshop event here in Montreal! It's the first time I have this sort of contract work and I'm excited! :D If you're interested in a very accommodating game jam and you're in Montreal, why not check it out?

I'll also be at GaymerX East early November, where I'll be heading a panel on mental health and games! I'm super stoked to be speaking there again and I can't wait to share more about this as it starts coalescing. :D
