Hi.

PE dev version soon.

We're getting towards the end of PE.
I have to tie up the loose ends, balance it reasonably, make it not grindy, put in some end goals, some missing fetishes(bdsm), sounds & fx and overall general polish. In game tutorial, open more stuff to modding and so on.

When we reach v1.0 it's not going to be over. Game will have long term support. I don't wanna forget about it and move on. I'll keep on expanding it.

So what's next?
I've been dealing with this for quite some time, made many design docs and some prototypes, but it's hard to decide what to put few years into. 

I've already listed potential ideas on discord. After reading comments and thinking even more about it here are my takes.

So ideas are:

1. Lifesim
Remove porn shooting mechanics and turn PE into a lifesim.
After some consideration, I might start implementing lifesim elements in PE after v1.0, if it's something people will want of course. Or make it even more micro. Or something completely else.
We'll see when we get there.
I will definitely make more modding possibilities, so modders could come up with new jobs, activities and quests.

2. Project: Genghis Khan
Fantasy Khan / Dothraki(game of thrones) simulator.
Warchief of a small raiding band causing havoc around the world map.
Typical stuff. Faction dynamics, demands, raiding, some trading, ...
Only select women can do magic and it's hated by all. Have your no girls allowed club or you know, burn people with your harem of sorcs and bring wrath of everyone upon yourself.
Since warchiefs have a short lifespan you would continue playing as one of your sons. So it has some roguelite meta progression where you get your father's traits and be stronger for your ng+ if you so want.

3. Space ship brothel.
Flying around trying to fulfill demands of different sectors, defending, recruiting, upgrading, pimping...
Standard stuff you see in a management game + alien prostitutes.
While setting is cool and all, it would probably be too similar to PE.

4. Project: Fixer.
Someone compared it to majesty and yeah, the idea stems from that game but it's similar only  in its basic concept.
If you're not familiar with majesty, to simplify really hard you're a king & questgiver.
I wouldn't make a RTS and put you in the role of the king but just simulate the events around you.
My design documents are about the organized crime since I can include sex more organically, but the cool thing is that there are many positions of power that work just as fine. Secret society leader, mafia boss, CEO, town mayor... Could be fantasy, scifi, post-apoc, contemporary... Throw the dice and every combination just works.
You never have control of your underlings(heroes/capos/managers), just put money on goals you want to achieve. Multiple ways of dealing with a problem and different consequences.
Whatever the role and setting would be, game would include plenty of sex but wouldn't revolve around it like PE, which is why it probably won't win the popular vote.

5. Project: Monk

It's a rather small parody project only meant as a transition project between PE and something bigger or just a side game. I call it an anti-porn game.
Basically, majority of games put you in a place where women are lusting for MC and he has sex with everyone.
Same here, but the main objective is to not have sex. But it's fucking hard.
Preserve your nofap streak at all costs. Avoid getting seduced by horny milfs in your area.
As a small community handyman you get odd jobs from milfs which you have to complete. While you're working, they're trying desperately. If your willpower drop to 0 you're seduced. if you get away before the task is complete they're angry.
It's a fine balance between not getting seduced and not angering the neighborhood milfs.
Anger too many of them, fail.  
Getting seduced is not strictly a game over but word gets around quickly and your days are numbered. Husband finds out, fail.
It's like a puzzle game where you have to align your stats, milfs jealousy and their schedules.
It's equally hard to not fuck at all or fuck them all in one run.
It's fucking stupid, but I don't know, i find playing the prototype fun.

So, it's mostly between 2 or 4 for main projects. Quick 5 if there's any interest.

I think the handyman idea is a good start, but it needs him to have a hot, loving sex-filled marriage with maybe suspicion about why she always has new skills and she's so good in the sack. And none of their kids look like him.

5. Do a side project to clear your head, get new perspective and a little distance so you can evaluate better what is great about PE. Also, it sounds like a fun and funny concept. After that, well, we are here for the lewd management gameplay, are we not. So maybe do something management-y, as it seems there is demand for it and you can deliver, obviously.

Still missing in PE is the bondage part you promised to ad some time ago. It should be an own genre and special bdsm traits would be great and of course bdsm in scene types
