Hi all.

tldr, dev2 release today.


So as mentioned before, underwear is coming is in this dev version.
Stockings will have to wait for v0.8 so I won't have to deal with compatibility issues.

Also made it so strip club is open from the very start and it's a place to pick up low level whores. Dance floor is closed.

After you buy the club everything will open up and you can assign strippers there. Do you  want to deal with club micro management? Feels like there has to be a point where we stop otherwise it will be too much of everything.

Mostly bug fixing and balancing

Some new perks

Implementing "easy to do" suggestions (for example, strip joint from the start)

Underwear

New cosplay girl - Batwoman (already in dev2)

2 new special chars - Not completed yet

Changing sound effects. Replacing busted ones, adding new ones.


v0.8x - Main things

Map expansion. For start 5 new places, 2 buyable. Management? Don't know yet.

Mansion. Household management? Again, do you really want it?

Modular clothing. Mix up clothing pieces.

Rival companies interactions. End goal is mini economy. Buy them out, leave them be, fuck with them, keep up with demand and so on.


Random thoughts

So tell me what I've been wondering for some time now. How much more micromanagement do you want to see? Full on club control? Sex shops? Private airline?
I still want the game to revolve around porn shooting and feel like focus will be lost if I start making some complex mechanics for other places.

Like club for example. You could manage security, bartenders, singers, dancers, strippers, escorts, market the place, inventory, deal with events happening there... BUT
Would be better to copypaste the game, remove porn production and have you deal with just that? Or do you want to go to the bank on day 1, take a loan, buy a club and never even touch porn production for the rest of the game?


Maybe a question for a poll.

I'd like to see the skills fixed. I've the character skills. BJ skills. Says it's not implemented yet. As far as that other stuff goes it would be welcome as a break from doing the porn all the time. The porn runs itself after a while, be nice to focus on other things. You can go so many ways with this

I'm glad you asked as I've been meaning to speak up about the scope creep. As much as I like doing micromanagement in games, this is primarily a porn studio game. You have been getting some scope creep recently and at this rate you will never finish the game. I recommend you focus on finishing the existing systems like skills and girlfriends, as well as bug cleanup. Maybe instead of micromanagement let players assign 1 staff to manage the club and that will determine its profitability and effectiveness. However I wouldn't go beyond that for now. Perhaps once the base game is complete you could add household, club, sex shop, airline, etc micromanagement as an expansion.

I agree with the above, although managing strippers for extra revenue while you hunt for models in the club is still ok. One thing I'd love to see though would be an alternate start where MC would start the game as an actor for another company, possibly one of the rivals, with scheduled shootings, and the ability to move on and create their own company when they so chose. I think it would fare well with the relation system you're implementing, as it would potentially allow them to bring in some work relations with them when they chose to move on and create their own business, but it would also allow them to skill up, away from the pressure of having to schedule their actors so they don't lose fame, or just to make ends meet. The obvious counter is that during that time, since they have no company, they also have no rep, and therefore can't meet special characters.

I don't really see much appeal in deep club management, but expansion into other activities sounds good. Especially MC household sounds nice - after all, he owns beaches and yachts, but where does he live?

Would it be possible to let the player chose the amount of micromanagement? So you could handle the club entirely on your own or you hire a couple of managers for the various kinds of stuff that need to be handled and have them do it.

I would love to manage the stripclub with the bartender etc, the more option the better!

So what needs to happen to make the pool party trigger again on v798d? I keep scheduling it but the day keeps passing with nothing happening

It'd be nice to polish up a lot of the current content. It'd be nice to have a lot of tedium be able to be automated and then as you automate be able to have more direct action/dialogues with your girls. I know a good amount of automation exists but especially in management games it's nice being to able to choose where to micro. I feel like the event system is great and tons of the scenarios are very hot and well written. It'd be nice to be able to have more control of those events than just chance for a lot of them. The dialogue systems in general I think could use expanding. Take for instance recruitment interviews, right now to me they are a crapshoot of chance. It'd be nice to have a lot more dialogue options where you were in a position of power or at least had a better idea of what the girl was looking for. Long story short I guess I'm just a fan of roleplaying a sleazy porn executive who likes abusing their power. Thank you for the content

I always end up automating porn with the studios anyways. I would look forward to managing the club also but I hope we will eventually be able to hire managers and automate that as well.

To fully automate club: Make slot for (1) manager, promoted from your employee pool like any other. Club manager is basically a hidden 5th slot that unlocks when you buy the club. Next give the club 10 levels of development, just like your web presence. Each level requires hiring (transferring) 1 security guard. Each 2 levels requires hiring 1 DJ and 1 bartender (new type of PA job, unlocked same way as above). Each level allows you to have 3 girls assigned as strippers. Sounds complicated but it keeps the club from turning into a cash printing machine because the extra staff cost money - your profit is whatever you make off the strippers vs what you pay the staff. What do you make off the strippers? Time to recycle that camgirl mechanic for what percentage you take from their work.

I really don't want the game to die because of feature-creep. Your game is the best on this niche, but I feel that some people expect to much and want to many things added which turn the game to a kind of adult sims. Nothing wrong with this - but lets first finish one game and then start a big successor. Having a completed 1.0 version and marketing it good, will give you real prestige and income - there is much more potential speaking of patreons! You should really fix the basics before expanding. I like that you invest so much time in cosplay-characters for example, but on the other hand, other backgrounds expect bedroom don_t function in the studios. Another big thing is, that the tag system is not really working (school, office etc). I really would like more working (!) backgrounds. There are animation problems, fix them first. The game is bit unbalanced - this is a problem which I would recommend to fix as well, but maybe later. I would suggest you make the mansion right - but don't add to many new mechanics - feature creep (!). I would be happy if you can buy expensive things for every room and then the room changes - it would be a kind of reward system without to much feature creep, just background changing (for example a kitchen will look better etc) I would be totally happy with new rooms you can add for midgame and some personal working there. On the other hand - we don't have a usable photostudio yet; you see: Feature creep! Summarizing, I recommend finishing the main game and the storyline, repairing the tag system, the girl skill system, the photostudio, the background and giving us a fun mansion to play.

i agree. it's hard to balance when you have so many money making machines. also perks, managers, models themselves highly influencing the earnings. i will focus on porn shootings and expand already existing systems rather than adding more new ones.

Hi, game made me join patron, and I know this is a few weeks old, but what drew me to this game was the management aspect. With that said, I like managing properties. But I agree, I wouldn't develop or take away design time from main game for club. (damn enter key) Now this is just a wild idea but since your using the left me some cash route with story, what IF the club was the inheritance as well but run down. You start early game finding decent strippers, after that your not making enough money or you decide to take the next step which would be porn. My thoughts is a girl already doing sex for cash is going to be downgrading for stripping for cash. I would think it would be the other way around after you talk them into it. Its ok for hookers as they were doing it for cash anyways. After awhile when the club is making a bit of money, you start experimenting with porn. You can put the club on automanage and depending on skills you hired with, depends on money you make. Also this can be a source of talent for your porn empire instead of running all over recruiting. Just an idea and I know would be a rewrite of things, but I see the porn empire as end result, not the strip club.
