A fun fact about the Bruss is that they, like us, are distantly descended from a tree-dwelling ancestor! Unlike our tree-dwelling ancestors, however, that Bruss ancestor laid its eggs in knotholes and other small nests using an ovipositor, which Bruss today still possess, albeit vestigially. This vestigial ovipositor has to be relaxed and popped out in order for mating to occur, which can only happen if the individual is aroused and willing.

Biology lessons aside, there are always rewards for hard work and exceptional performance on Rasima's ship, and with the breeding season coming up, those rewards are more sought after by his young crew than ever. πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ
