Such a very important conversation with Dr. Wieder today. While things are far from perfect here I am great full for this policy where I live. https://www.ontario.ca/page/get-fertility-treatments

As a Canadian I was getting confused with all of the insurance talk lol. Taylor was saying it is more expensive because of insurance but there is no insurance for fertility? I am also in Ontario and I remember when it was announced that one round of fertility was being covered and I was shocked it was not already! I believe there are lots of other places in Canada where it is not covered.

I think so too I lived in the US for 10 years and trust me it’s so challenging. I did fertility with my first child and my meds were covered by my work drug plan and many employee benefits cover $5k of treatment on top of that. Plus many of the blood tests are covered by OHIP.

I was also happy to see there is extra options for surrogates as well which is nice. Plus doctors can ask for exceptions. I had to get my C-section scar fixed after my twins which classified as reconstruction and the process is longer and you have to get it approved but it was essentially. Small tummy tuck that was covered.

I’m sorry Taylor’s! This is so stressful going through fertility let alone the costs!!! In Australia is pricey but wow it is no where near the cost of the US as the government helps out. This must be really stressful. But the end goal is worth it, your a great team and it’s going to be okay! Also interesting you get to know the gender in Aus we dont! Also for Taylor D if it fails first time keep going! I had a perfect embryo fail first transfer but got a positive test from my second transfer which the embryo was a lower grade then the first transfer. I also appreciate Taylors honesty about how fearful she is, as someone who wants a family i am also terrified too so good to hear this part aswell! Sending so much love both you way and love hearing about your journey and can’t wait for mini Taylor to join this community one day! ♥️ Also sending thoughts out to anyone expereincing infertility its such a hard jounrey and so painful, so i can imagine some of this talk is triggering for some, so if it triggers anyone there is still so much content on the show that is not fertility!

The way my jaw dropped when Dr. Wider said her MIL’s comment putting the tooth fairy responsibility on her as the Mom. I really appreciated Taylor’s approach to managing that conversation but I feel for you Dr. Wider, toxic family dynamics are so hard.
