Daryn often has interesting insights. But I find it surprising that someone who is so educated continually says the US is the best country to be a woman. As a Canadian woman who took an 18 month maternity leave, I remember when gay marriage was passed federally twenty years ago, free access to abortions through universal healthcare, plans for ten dollar a day childcare, etc, and there are many countries with far more equitable policies for women. I get that as a libertarian she doesn’t want to pay taxes but to say the US is the best country to be a woman is not a fact. Maybe compared to Iran but that’s not a high bar to set. It’s very frustrating to listen to. I wish she could chat with Mackenzie who is an actually educated and well travelled person, she is honestly embarrassing herself talking about cereal. I was trying to hear her out until she started talking about people dying to get in. You can have pride in your country without being completely ignorant to the qualities of other countries.
