It was announced during Dynamite that Tony Khan would have a new live event announcement during Fight for the Fallen on Wednesday.

This immediately led to people speculating where they were going; a lot of fans predicted a stop in the UK later this year or a West Coast swing through Los Angeles.

I heard from a few people very early on some rumblings about the United Center in Chicago. Then it was reported AEW was trying to trademark "The First Dance" - a salute to the documentary on Michael Jordan called "The Last Dance." Was it in anticipation for an event in the venue that Jordan played so many games in (with some connection to a CM Punk return to wrestling)? Now that a reporter has ran with the report that they are filming footage in it for the announcement, I figured it's worth bringing up. One of the first things I heard was a totally unexpected date - like soon, but other reports indicate this event will be later in the year (much smarter, in my opinion).

We'll see what it is but I'm curious if it is them running that big of a venue in a market they are tapping into early September. I also wonder if they saw the demand for All Out again and figured it was worth tapping into again later this year.

What was your first guess? Is there a market they haven't hit yet that you expect them to announce soon? MSG or other classic WWE venues will be popular picks but give me a unique spot if you have one.

If it is United Center, it would be interesting because outside of two house shows in 2018, WWE hasn't run there since 1995 which means CM Punk had never wrestled at the United Center. It would make things interesting.

NOW Arena and United Center are kinda far apart and for people that live in Chicago, it's a lot easier to get to United Center, so I think it'll actually do better than people expect if they think the market is burnt out.
