Nice. Hopefully after this it's Wonder Woman, so we can finally get to Zack Snyder's Justice League. I can't wait for you guys to watch it, and start crying, lol.

Jackosaurus

When are you guys gonna do The Love Bug 1968?

Rony

Just finished it. Great reaction, lol. You should title the horror playlist β€œJUSTIN!!!!” Lmao.

Your reactions and disbelief that they would kill off Drew Barrymore, probably one of the biggest names in the film, in the very first scene is exactly why they did it lol. Drew Barrymore was originally cast as the lead, Sydney Prescott, but she had scheduling issues and to her disappointment, she had to drop the role. But then Drew, knowing the movie was too brilliant to pass up, got brilliant idea of her own. She offered to play the role of Cassie Beckart, the victim slain in the very beginning of the movie. She knew that fans would expect her to be the lead/final girl due to her being a well known name in a slasher flick. She knew that people, despite the movie delivering the fear by immediately being trusted into an intense situation right out the gate, would feel some form of comfort believing that they wouldn't kill her off. "They wouldn't kill off Drew Barrymore. She's the lead, right?" She knew that if they brutally killed her off in the very first scene, it would haveripped whatever bit of comfort the audience had left by the end of the scene. So, they brilliantly play into it by promoting the movie all over as though Drew Barrymore was legit the lead, interviews and the like. The cherry on top? The movie poster is literally Drew Barrymore up front, while the rest of the cast is behind her, playing up the idea that Drew Barrymore is indeed tge lead of the movie. And when the movie hit the theaters, it. After Cassie Beckert's parents found her hanging from that tree, following the screams of horror from her mother cut off into the next scene, the theaters were filled with a collective, silent horror. Not only did they just witness this teenage girl being terrorized without anyone to help, only to get brutually murdered, and displayed in such a grotesque fashion in front of her own parents, they litetally had just killed off who the audience believed to be the main character, all in the very first scene. It let them all know that shit just immediately hot real, and it was about to get even more real, so buckle up because this wasn't going to be your basic slasher flick. The movie doesn't really give you a chance to feel comfortable, ESPECIALLY in the very first scene. Possibly an homage to another famous slasher classic with an even more immediate feeling of discomfort in it's opening scene. That brilliant idea helped create what is now considered one of the greatest horror opening scenes of all time...

Finally getting around to checking this reaction out, lol. Some playlist names I thought of off the top of my head: "Playlist of the Petrified" "Terror Time" "Horrorshow" - part of the term "Real Horrorshow", meaning something difficult to watch. Made famous by Stanley Kubrick movie/Anthony Burgess Novel A Clockwork Orange.
