Let me be the first to say that I love the Jane Picks! Naked Gun is a great series, I'd highly reccomend watching 2 1/2 next. There's some interesting history about Leslie Nielson and this movie. Up until Airplane! Nielson was actually a serious actor, who had never done any comedies. The creators of that movie cast as many people from dramatic movies of the time, to really sell the absurdity. Nielson was one of the breakout stars, and was placed as the lead in a very short lived TV series called The Police Squad! The show was very much like this movie, just with a smaller budget. Unfortunately, it never got off the ground, and it wouldn't be until 1988 that we'd see Frank in all his comic glory. In an unrelated tangent, other comedies from this era that would be right up your alley if you liked this: Naked Gun 22 1/2 National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon Airplane! Spaceballs (and honestly all of Mel Brooks' catalogue of comedies) Top Secret!

All the marvel humor aside, most blockbuster can be a bit heavy, especially if you a lot of them in a row. So it is nice to come up for air every once in a while and just laugh, this was super funny, so i wouldn't mind you mixing stuff like this into your content drops.

If this is a Jane pick, she should be picking more of the movies. I loved this series (and the TV show, RIP).

The song was Randy Newman (who I recognize from the Toy Story movies. The assassin was the legendary Reggie Jackson - Mr. October. OJ Simpson was much more beloved at the time of this movie. Just another example of a monster hiding behind a great public image.

I was surprised to see "A Fish Called Wanda" came out the same year. I'd recommend that as well.

That's Reggie Jackson at the end a NY and Baseball legend. Randy Neman is singing I love LA song and he also did Meet the Parents soundtrack if his voice sounds familiar.

I love this kind of comedy. I wish I did a better job editing 33 1/3. I've come a long way!

SEEJANEGOTV

It's scary to think how many monsters are beloved first. R. Kelly is a big one

Baseball isn't as big here in Canada as the US. We have the blue jays, but we haven't won anything since 91/92
