This is one of the episodes I've been waiting for for a long, long time - ever since you started these reactions! The Doctor's speech is just so damn powerful, it makes me tear up every time I watch it.

So to answer your question on what the rebellious zygon faction wanted, from what I understand, they wanted to be able to walk around and be themselves without having to steal a human's face or identity. The "15 times" - It wasn't that they had both done this 15 times already, it's that Kate had been a part of 15 different conversations like this before, with different aliens. We can infer, or make a guess, that they ended pretty similarly to this. Both boxes are blank, the alien species is sent away, and Kate gets her memory removed of the boxes being blank. Last thing - if you two want to take a break until Jane delivers, I would still be supportive. I'd rather have both of you at the top of your game for the rest of this season, and I don't mind waiting a few extra weeks so Jane can rest. All in all, though, great reaction today! Glad to see you got just as teary as me, JV LOL

The doctor speech in here means a lot to be. Personally it’s my favourite speech in new who. This speech is actually what made me stop bullying at school (just because I was getting bullied outside) and made me open up more etc and turn my life around during year 11 (last year of school). The thing is the speech can apply to a lot of things. Like bullying and other stuff. But great reaction.

I am SO with the Zygons in this one. Maybe I'm too woke for my own good, but I see it as almost analogous to the journey that black people have been through in the Western Hemisphere over the last few hundred years. Enslaved by white people, given their 'freedom', but living in a world that is full of privilege for white people, Some black people have just accepted that life and some have said in recent years, 'hang on. This ain't enough. The only way we get by in life is if we adopt 'white manners'.' My ex was pretty militant on this kind of stuff and I really heard what he said - and lots of the things he said sounded similar to the rhetoric that Bonnie uses in this story. I might be overthinking it, and maybe it's not really my place to say as a white person, but that's what I took from this, on this particular re-watch.

"Five rounds, rapid." was a callback to classic Who ... it is a quote from the Brigadier (Kate's dad). And as much as I love your reactions, I second the notion that if Jane needs to break until after the pregnancy, then so be it. We all support you.

The Doctors speech in the climax is such a haunting scene, not just because of Peter Capaldi's phenomenal acting in it, but because of the ultimate truth it presents. Every fight and every war has to end eventually, and the only way to do so with your soul still intact is to "sit down and talk".
