extremely excited for you guys to finish season 1! And to clear a few things up in this video, there are currently two seasons, 25 each. Without spoiling anything, there is technically a third season coming, but is not exactly a direct continuation to the show. You’ll understand when you get there. Don’t worry about that now, and think of the two seasons as the whole thing. Yes, Tokyo is in Japan. And it isn’t just that the guy ran away to China and betrayed Japan. I may be wrong, but it seemed like he was coming back to Japan to take over, with himself, a few Japanese officials, and the Chinese Federation. Like you said, it would just be another Britannia. He doesn’t have Japan’s interests in heart, but his own selfish intentions. LeLouch wants to destroy Britannia and claim independence as well. His speech early in the season claimed that he wasn’t for Japan or Britannia, but to fight for the weak. He wasn’t about to let that guy attack with the Chinese, just because he was Japanese.
