That talk between Mako and Asami was supposed to signify them breaking up. By that point, Asami was no longer mad, just heartbroken. It's also important to note that she wasn't mad at Korra at all throughout this triangle. She was angry with Mako's indecisiveness. And don't take it to heart that General Iroh is Zuko's grandson haha you'll find out later why Zulo didn't name his kid after Iroh.
