This one had become a major block for me. I don't remember when was the last time I've spent so much time straight on the phase of scene and anatomy solution. I had planned to finish, or at least make a solid update of this picture in just a few days, but when I started coloring, I've found out that the characters do not connect in 3D space at places and do not follow the space itself, it was a mess, but I was determined to fix this, I could not believe I don't have the skill to solve this riddle yet. I kept trying to modify, move, cut, doodle above the characters... Then i've built a volumetric grid and placed all the major body masses there, removed 3 characters completely and made new ones. Something that should have been done in the beginning actually. Some people said it was easier to draw a whole new picture with a proper beginning, and I do agree, perhaps it could have been faster, but, like I mentioned above, I was hell-bent on it, to prove to myself that I can, and after all the time I've spent, I just had to have some results... And now we have this, still not done, a few things could use some tweaks, but a whole new level or work.

There is more. Usually I make a clean ink layer with pencil first, this is how I start most of my artwork, my disney fan-art legacy... In this picture however, I was making the characters without a clean ink layer, it was more like an oil painting, starting from rough blurry blobs and strokes, like some professional illustrators do. Not saying it will become my new way of making art though, I do love clean ink pictures too, and I think could use more of these simple clean arts among my recent detailed work.

I do have color layers on it too, this is new as well, usually I make flat cells filled with real colors first then add shadows/lighting, making a black and white first is what some good artists do, and I want to try this. The colors are still in early and messy state, so for this WIP I turned them off.

I am sorry for the long hiatus in uploads this work had caused, going to make up for it now with more easy and relaxed stuff and consecutive updates roughly on daily basis for a while... Will finish this one later, need to switch my brain to something else. But I feel like i've got quite a lot of experience during this struggle, this is good.

Maybe all you need is a fluffy blue ness to snug with! :D

Yeah, this would be nice to recuperate from the insane picture above x) I do have some promising sketchwork with the blue ness too :) With the new tricks I've learned here, it'd be a boost in progress there too :)
