There were so many scenes in this episode that I had to close my eyes to get through. I now consider death by radiation poisoning to be the #1 scariest way to die. I agree with y’all that I would prefer a mercy kill in that situation. It’s just awful.

The coffins were actually made of Zinc. A Lead coffin would be too risky as it could poison ground water. The makeup department was amazing for this episode though, they actually couldn't show just how bad it was for these men. Shockingly, this is a toned down version of their true state. Also, the men with the papers were not leaving the area but being recruited as part of the work force to help clean. As you watch, more and more will be explained. Especially in the last episode.
