The Meg yt edit

I'm so glad you all watched this! It is an unusual movie, and it doesn't always seem to know how serious to take itself. Some of the dialogue is kinda strange at times, but I still find it thrilling and entertaining. It still makes a great monster or shark flick for me! Not a masterpiece like Jaws, but it's enjoyable with cool visuals.

I really don't think that many people died compared to other movies, especially shark movies. I loved all the Jaws references! Being from Iceland it's always fun for me to see Ólafur Darri Ólafsson who plays Toshi's friend "The Wall" (big dude with long hair and beard). Aside from being in tons of Icelandic movies and TV shows he's been in some big Hollywood movies like The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, We Walk Among The Tombstones, Fantastic Beasts 2, BFG and Netflix's Murder Mystery. He's such a good actor. If you wanna watch more specifically shark movies I recommend Deep Blue Sea, The Shallows and 47 Meters Down. The last one is especially intense because a lot of it takes place underwater.

The way they’re revealed the Meg behind the little girl was smart yet scary as can be, same with the bobbing the head/camera in and out of the water. Because even though the water looks clear some how it isn’t and things can come up out of nowhere. Great movie to have watched, the scare factor was well done, logic/science eh. Thanks to so many years of Shark Week most people know sharks don’t behave this way. Granted we know very little of the Meg in real life, however as soon as that shark got a taste of whale it’s obvious it would be hunting whale, humans are too small and low nutrient meal we ain’t worth it. Which makes the mother and calf scene heartbreaking and one of the reasons why the humans shouldve been giving it their all on the Meg. The mosasaurus in Jurassic World would be scary to have in our oceans, a Megaladon is much closer timeline wise to us, and would be unthinkable as to the damage it could do to our ocean ecosystem. Sharks are already an apex predator now increase their size and stomachs, no thank you.
