Here are some suggestions for monster movies if you haven't seen them already: King Kong 2005 (warning, this is like 3 hours long), The Meg 2018, Deep Blue Sea 1999 (just the first one, the sequels are not good don't bother watching them), Shin Godzilla 2016 and the Gamera Trilogy (Gamera: Guardian Of The Universe, Gamera 2: Attack Of Legion, and Gamera 3: Revenge of Iris). Shin Godzilla and the Gamera Trilogy are Japanese Kaiju movies, you can watch them in either english subbed or dubbed.

Just to let you guys know, you can watch Shin Godzilla and the Gamera Trilogy on youtube. Shin Godzilla is in English dubb, but the Gamera movies are in Japanese, so you'll have to turn on subtitles if you decide to watch them. I found this website, Internet Archive where you guys can watch the english dub of the Gamera movies https://archive.org/details/gameraguardianoftheuniverse1995advfilmsenglishdubhd, https://archive.org/details/gamera2attackofthelegion1996advfilmsenglishdubhd, and https://archive.org/details/gamera3revengeofiris1999advfilmsenglishdubhd

A great underrated Monster film is Reign of Fire (2002). It is a group of humans trying to survive a dragon apocalypse in 2020 in the film. Think Last of Us but instead of invected it’s dragons. Very similar tone. It stars Matthew McConaughey, Christian Bale, and Gerard Butler. This was Matthew McConaughey during his romcom days, Christian Bale before Batman, and Gerard Butler before he was well known all three was playing against their typical typecast at the time, and all three are amazing in this film. This is McConaughey at his most unique, Christian Bale as a leading man in his first big blockbuster, and Gerard Butler as the comedy relief showing that he actually has great comic timing when he wants too. Highly recommend this film. :)

Also, if want to watch a really fun film where the monster is the the good guy actually checkout Dragonheart (1996). Stars Dennis Quaid, David Thewlis, Pete Postlethwaite, Jason Isaacs, Julie Christie, and Sean Connery as the voice of Draco (the dragon). It has a lot of action, comedy, but surprisingly a lot of emotional depth to this film as well.

King Kong (2005) is worth a watch for sure.

Yes to more monster movies!! There’s your classics: Lake Placid-does feature a crocodile just as a warning, Deep Blue Sea, Van Helsing (yes not animal monsters but classic monster monsters), Cujo, Congo-another movie about gorillas. Then you got the modern monsters: The Meg, Life-alien creepy as fuck imo, Primeval-based off a real life crocodile. Joe Manganiello-lead hunter guy, is in a few movies most know him from Magic Mike, I know him from Spider-Man with Tobey where he played Peter’s bully Flash. I loved loved!! JDM in this, I’ve loved him since he played John Winchester! The actor who briefly played the FBI Agent Park has popped into a variety of movies and shows, he was in the Wolverine as Harada, currently playing a Dr. Park in The Good Doctor, and I grew up knowing him as the villain in the movie Elektra. Now imo, Lizzie had the best intro of the three, the wolf is close, Lizzie just got the Godzilla level intro. Glad that James acknowledged George standing a chance. After all he is a fellow primate, gorillas have more arm movement than a wolf or gator, and they are known to use their feet. Add in the intelligence level, ability to use tools, and him being small is great because he can move faster. I do think he had the least change because he is the only herbivore, predators generally tend to be large and gators at one point in earth history were monstrous sizes. Loved the reaction I am loving the other comments recommendations. Reign of Fire and Dragonheart are amongst my top five favorite dragon movies of all time. Bring tissues for Dragonheart though, extremely beautiful in everything but heartbreaking in ways one doesn’t expect.

That King Kong (05) may be long yet is worth every second. Well directed and has Jack Black in it!

That’s a great movie, its also one of the rare movies with Matthew without hair. It took me only hearing his voice to recognize him.

As someone who loves those cheesy animal horror movies like these, there are some that would be great reactions! The Meg, Lake Placid, Anaconda, Deep Blue Sea, 47 Meters Down, Crawl… so many good choices.
