The Conjuring 1 yt edit

Most of the details in this story are in fact true. But in real life Ed never actually performed an exorcism, especially since those can only be done by a Catholic priest. But they summoned a spirit through a séance. According to Andrea, the oldest Perron daughter, she secretly witnessed the conjuring where her mother Carolyn became temporarily possessed. She said her mom began to speak in tongue, then her chair levitated and she was thrown across the room. The dad eventually kicked the Warrens out because he was afraid for his wife and the family continued to live in that house for 10 years (while being haunted) because of financial difficulties. Fun fact: The real Lorraine has a cameo in this movie (at around 44 mins). She is the older woman in the front row of the classroom when Carolyn is listening to the Warrens' presentation (she was also a consultant). This movie came out in 2013. Ed died in 2006 and Lorraine died in 2019. Annabelle Comes Home, which was released about two months after Lorraine died, is dedicated to her. No so fun fact: The real-life Carolyn Perron fell and broke her hip while her family was visiting the set. Cast and crew also experienced strange events during filming, such as scratches appearing on Vera Farmiga’s (Lorraine) computer after signing on for the film and people randomly waking up between 3 and 4 am. Also, I don't know if you recognised Mackenzie Foy who played Cindy (the one who kept sleepwalking and banging her head against the closet) but she played Renesmee, Bella and Edward's daughter in Twilight. Joey King who's been in many movies and TV shows also played Christine (the one who kept being pulled down the bed).

Great reaction!! I haven't seen a lot of these more recent horror movies so it's fun getting to experience them with you guys!! I highly recommend at least the original 1984 Nightmare on Elm Street. Such a classic, plus it's Johnny Depp's film debut!

I do love the conjuring movie (1 & 2). They are very well done and interesting, with good casting and director. The third one was my least favorite from the trilogy. I don't actually like the spin-off ones but I watch them still.

It is a good movie but I do prefer the first and second because of the movie's aesthetic and direction. But the story of the third is pretty cool
