I love Watson & Holmes's bond in these movies. The music & costumes are great (as a woman I still long for Irene's wardrobe after all these years). Yes I to love the theme of fear of the unknown. As for the BBC series my opinion is probably going to be unpopular but here goes, while I love the 1st season & think the 2nd one is good, I personally think season 3 & 4 (I haven't watched the special Victorian themed episode so I can't give my verdict on it) suffered greatly in the writing department as the show that once prided itself on logic struggled to not loose it's self in the ridiculousness of certain situations/character's actions due to the extream change in time from a world without CCTV, computers, cameras & things like DNA testing (making London police force's "partnership" with somone like Holmes plusable) to a world with all that stuff & more (making thier strong reliance on him seem the result of sheer incompetence) but lots of people here clearly love it & it can still be enjoyable & at the end of the day it's up to you guys so if you need to go for the popular vote after everything that's happened to your channel or if your just curious to see another take on this fascinating character I completely understand.
