Bella's arc honestly terrifies me. She starts risking her life because a guy left her, she's willing to leave her family behind to be with him, gets married at a stupidly young age and romanticises the idea of risking herself for a dangerous pregnancy. I know this is just a story - and a romantic, youth-driven one at that - but as female-lead fiction goes, this one gives me shivers.

I understand how her arc went tho. Bella always felt awkward in the world and then she meets Edward. Although I believe she likes him, I think the thing really keeping her so fixed on him is his world more than him. It's the only world where not being normal is normal. And when he leaves she looses the connection to this world (and him). She want so desperately to get access to his world where she won't have to worry about being clumsy and stumbling through life that she is ready to sacrifice her life. I also believe that she thinks her parents will be ok without her, since now she doesn't have to be a mom to her mother anymore because she has a new husband. I don't think she makes all this simply for the guy, but she makes it to become a vampire and she is ready to risk dying for the kid, because it is her only chance of having one of her own since once she's a vampire she won't be able to. So not saying it's a good arc, just saying I understand it😅
