Probably you already know this already but I still wanna point out. Aang is a pacifist monk who respects nature, so the fact that he, from the looks of how it was shown, killed that wasp tells you that he’s willing to do anything to protect those he loves. I thought that was an interesting detail there from Aang.

Thank you for reuploading! I'm so glad you were able to understand what Aang was going through. I've seen some people turn on Aang in this episode because of his anger, and while I do agree that he probably shouldn't have taken his anger out on his friends, you can't blame him for what he's going through. Not only is Aang just a kid amongst all this, but as you said, he lost the one thing that connected him to his past and the place that he grew up in and loved. Appa is not just an animal companion, they're essentially soulmates with the strong bond that they have. Katara staying by Aang's side and giving him the love and support he needs is always just so beautiful to watch... I always get tears in my eyes when they reveal Aang crying at the end.

Between Sokka's cactus juice and the emotional moments in this episode this might be my favorite episode of season 2 it's a close call between this episode and the finale of season 2. I agree with you one the fact avatar connects story lines very well it reminds me of the harry potter series in that way. There's a lot of unexpected payoffs.

No lol. Only the of the second season. Season three has way to many epic episodes.
