The original 1992 Newsies is incredible but honestly my fav version is the 2017 one because the female representation is better imo.

I know WSS is winning currently but there’s a new movie version coming out this December directed by Steven Spielberg so I think you should hold off and react to that one when it comes out!!

Can not wait for you to watch West Side Story . It is one of the most honored movies the Oscars have gone for . Winning 10 Academy awards including Best Picture . One of the best star-crossed romantic tragedies you will ever see .

Nope... classic is always best, and I highly doubt this new version will hold a cnadle to the original. Spielberg will most likely make this new version too flashy and too modernized. Not good.

Looks like its West Side Story's time to shine. I'm really happy to see The Music Man make it on the the list. If there's one thing all of these have in common its that they are all really well done. Allot of people are saying they want 2017 Newsies and honestly I agree. I feel like Newsies was something that needed time to mature into a better musical and the 2017 version is the product of that. Also Jeremy Jordan.

Yikes hit the wrong button😛. Anyway Best Picturmusicals: The Sound of Music-West Side Story-Chicago-My Fair Lady and throwing in Oliverfor good measure (though I’ve never been overly fond of that one but it certainly not awful).

I agree with others - the Chicago movie is a must see. Also for a classic, Mary Poppins is good if you haven’t seen it!

Definitely hope Chicago makes it on the poll at some point. Not only is it a great musical, but a fascinating story based on a real life crime.
