Okey, my god! Thank you so much for watching this movie. Jane Austen is my favorite author and Pride and Prejudice, for me, her best book. The adaptation of this book it's just amazing, the sensibility, the chemistry between Keira and Matthew, those little details like the close shots of the hand.... Just amazing. I like just the fact that you guys being guys can also appreciate it (not everybody does). Great content on your channel, loving all your reactions!! :)

I applaud you guys for watching and enjoying a movie that is typically thought of as a girl’s thing. You will definitely score points for watching it with any woman who enjoys period piece movies. The cinematographer definitely makes this one special. It was the first of three movies the director Joe Wright filmed with Keira Knightly. The others were the award winning Atonement and an interesting take on Tolstoy’s Anna Karina. (If you want to consider another epic period piece you might look at the 2015 BBC adaptation of Tolstoy’s War and Peace. It is a 6 episode miniseries set in Czarist Russia at the time of the Russian war with Napoleon. It covers the sweeping story of primarily three inter-related families) The home they showed as Darcy’s Pemberley is a real historical home of a British Dukedom, called Chatsworth. While it still is a private home, it is also open to the public. The exterior, the entrance with the painted mural on the ceiling and the statue room are all at Chatsworth. But the room where Lizzie happened upon Darcy and his sister was actually a different house altogether. It isn’t uncommon in a period piece like that they will use rooms from entirely different locations to create the interior for one location. And the situation in the story with Lydia was even worse than I think you realized. While she had run away with Wickham, he hadn’t married her. It took the intervention of Darcy and her uncle to make that happen. It would have been disastrous for the reputations of the entire family if they hadn’t been able to get them married. And yes, you were right that both characters grew and changed over the course of the movie, with each of them getting over their own pride and prejudices.

Would love you guys to watch Bridget Jones’ diary - it’s a modern day retelling of Pride and Prejudice (with Colin Firth as Darcy yet again) and it’s absolutely hilarious

I’m so happy & proud you guys are willing to watch movie & tv shows genres outside your wheelhouse. I’m so glad you liked Pride & Prejudice. Its such a well made film. The cinematography alone is breathtaking. I hope you do more romance movies in future.
