[Term 4] FFXIV OC Alani (Patreon)

Hey cuties,

here's just a little preview of an extra for this terms coming Digital Rewards. This was a commission for the wonderful Alani of her FFXIV Character with the same name, in my rare semi realistic style. The HD version of this will be sent out on the 5th of September!

I used to practice semi realism and even a bit of realism when I was younger, so this style is not coming out of nowhere for me. There's tons of hours of practice behind this.
Honestly, for all new artists here, I advice to practice some different art styles if your heart yearns for it. We're too often concerned with the "shoulds": "I should stick to only one art style if I wanna get recognized" or "I should figure out what or how I want to draw now". But who tells us these things but ourselves? Practicing some different art styles can further our art skills and expand our horizons! Nobody says you have to stick to one style forever! Have fun. Art is about passion and love. Restricting yourself won't do you any good, especially if you're just starting out. And the very same goes to my dear artists that believe they don't have an art style yet. Experiment around and have fun.
For many people, they will eventually get drawn to one art style which they mainly want to practice - even if that style will change and evolve over time. And other artists will bounce around with art styles and draw wherever their mind carries them. There is no right or wrong here. What you do is good enough, and keep going.
Even if you don't see your own art style yet, practice certain styles only privately, or draw a lot but you don't see all of your progress: you'll get where you want to be. I will believe in you ♥
