Howdy Patrons! Here's a little update on Scout F, which is what I've been workin on for the last month or so! We're looking good for a first flight in April, and I've been doing my best to learn from the things that didn't work with Scout E.

In other news, at the end of the video, I need some ideas - I've got a ton of metal shavings that are cut from making these parts for Scout/Starship/Etc and I'd love to do something cool with them later this year, ideally something where all of you get some neat part that was made as part of a project build. Let me know if you have ideas!

Thanks as always for your support!

Soooo excited to see that rocket land! Also, I love the suggestion that was made in the Youtube comments about melting the aluminum shavings into some kind of BPS coin. Perhaps in honor of the first successful landing? (Date of landing, name of rocket, BPS logo, maybe a crab, etc. on the coin?)

I'm with Xyla on the resin idea.

Same on the resin idea, like a black background and then clear raised BPS with the aluminum chips infused

Maybe substitute some fiberglass welding blankets (they're cheap) for the tarps to make the squishy base under your landing pad? In point of fact, they're also pretty slippery, so possibly one could be the top layer, too, though it might not be as good for that as the foil.

you need to put a slo-mo camera on the landing pad
