Hey Patrons, here's all the footage from yesterday's launch! Lots of data to go over as well, most of it looks very good, some of it does not. Vibration was very high at the end of flight from the reaction wheel. The vehicle handled it like a champ, but probably time to stop flying this wheel design :)

Things might be a little quiet here for 1-2 weeks, as a heads up! I've still got to get out a few videos for the BPS channel, but I also need to finish a new PCB for Sprint. Before we go much higher I need GPS onboard to make sure we don't drift too far when we're high up. Hope you're all staying healthy and safe, and thanks as always for your support!

Blue skies,

Joe

Sprint Flight 5 - Raw Footage + Data Review

Fun flight with the Aerotech G8! :)

Hi Joe. At around 8:21 into the video, you are unsure what part of the flight is represented in the data. May I suggest adding an LED to the rocket, as well as hooking it to a binary input, such that the light state is represented in the recorded data. Similarly to a "clapper" used at film sets to align audio and video, you can configure it to blink a few times before flight, to help synchronizing the data set to the recorded video data.

the current flight state is recorded in the datalogs, he just didn't have it overlayed on that graph
