Hey Patrons! Continuing the aggressive launch campaign of Sprint, here's all the footage and data from flight #4. We'll do public BPS.space channel videos on both these flights, but I jumped ahead on the schedule a bit since the weather was so good yesterday :)

A few things to note as always! So first, we had another bad Apogee F10 motor. This is the second failure in a row. It wasn't a CATO, and it wasn't the worst thing ever, in fact the rocket handled it quite well. But something is up, possibly with the whole batch of F10 motors I have. I'll keep you posted on what I hear back from the

The roll control failed at pitchover again. I should have given this a little more thought before assuming I could make it work. The vehicle is so light, and the pitchover is so aggressive, AND it's moving so fast, that any small asymmetry was bound to mess things up. The good news, is these aggressive maneuvers were just for fun, no need to do this on the long burn flights. Plus, now I have a better idea of my "acceptable flight envelope"!

Anyway, that's all for now. Thanks again for supporting the project, and let me know if you have any questions!

Sprint Flight 4 - Raw Footage And Data Review

Not much to say here, just that I'm excited to ditch the F10 in favor of some longer burning motors!

Love this format! Do you have any plans for fin/aerodynamic control for the next vehicle? It would be nice to have stability after engine burnout

BPS.space

Yes I do! The new flight computer I've been working on has outputs for servo controlled fins :)
