Hey look, another update post! Let's check in on what's happening over at BPS.space HQ(definitely not just my apartment...)

First, if you haven't already seen it, the video for Scout D1 Flight 2 is up! Pretty standard flight, but I figure that even the "boring" flights are worth covering: https://youtu.be/RQ1eHFKMoFo

I've got the outline ready for flight 3 which already happened as well, but before I publish that video, Landing Model Rockets Ep 6 is coming out! Almost certainly tomorrow(April 18). In this episode I cover going through the process of getting your PCB build files generated and produced by a manufacturer and getting components purchased on Digikey/Mouser/any other supplier. Kinda like Scout D1 Flight 2, not the most glamorous video, but it's important to cover every step!

Something interesting I found in putting together this LMR video is that the price difference between Blip and Blop is only about $10. I figured it would be much larger than this. I ordered 10 boards total - 5 of Blip and 5 of Blop. These prices account for the whole process, shipping included. For Blip, the build-cost was $73.47 per board and for Blop it was $63.33. Of course if you were ordering at much larger scales, you'd see reductions in cost for Blop while Blip wouldn't change too much.

On the rocket-landing front, I fixed up a few flight software issues in the last few days and it looks like I'll be ready to go for another drop test soon! Right now video edits and weather are the main constraint. Lots to upload, and the winds are a little higher than I'd like right now.

That's all I've got right now! Thanks again for the patience while I catch up on this backlog of videos, I've got some cool RCS updates uploading early next week too!

Joe

P.S. that photo is 2 years old! That's from a really old flight of the Relay rocket back when I used to do "fake" live streams. If you're interested in seeing some vintage BPS... https://youtu.be/X4e2_L6gQkE
