The Feet Show Representative for October is Uta from One Piece: Red!

During my break, I had the opportunity to watch One Piece: Red and I actually really enjoyed it, so much so that I decided to dedicate this month's Feet Show to the star of the movie, Uta!

I honestly thought the movie was really good, it had all the best aspects of One Piece's animation and contained various musical segments akin to a V-Tuber concert which complemented the action really well (Yes, this is now a Mei Lee Movie Review!)

If you're a fan of the animation style in Wano, then you'll love One Piece: Red as it completely kicks it up a notch and every fight scene is a real feast for the eyes. It also features cameos of just about all your favourite characters in one way or another so it really felt like a love letter to the fans.

MINOR SPOILERS BELOW, READ AT OWN RISK!

However, you're probably thinking now; Mei is going on and on about how good the animation is, but what about the story? Now unfortunately this is where the story takes a heavy nose-dive... which should make us grateful that it's a non-canon movie.

The whole storyline is a real clusterfrick and it's insanely hard to make sense of just about anything non-combat that's going on. If I was to be honest, just about none of it made any sense at all, especially around just how powerful Uta really was. I could probably write a whole essay about plot-holes but my key gripe is that the premise of Uta's existence made no sense.

We've seen what the World Government is capable of whenever they deem something a threat for example, Ohara (Robin's hometown) so you'd think that if they're willing to go to such insane lengths just to hide a secret, they'd also do the same for a PUBLIC FIGURE who has the power to essentially end the world.

Nonetheless, I still really enjoyed the action segments as well as Uta's personality all around. For an individual who was so deadly in the movie, she certainly had a really endearing personality. But still there's one thing I'm certain of that is more powerful than her Devil Fruit... It's the beautiful pair of feet she hides inside those huge platform boots!

And here she is, coming within a few weeks to tease and laugh at both her fans who appreciates her work and haters who argue about all the plot-holes 😂!
